booking sessions the easy way
To make your request for a session, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your preferred time for your initial session. Allow 20 minutes for this call. After initial session, most bookings will happen as part of completing a session. If you're booking a new session after having been away from me for a while, you don't need another initial call. Just get in touch with your preferred times and we'll make it happen.
My schedule varies according to the needs of my clients and myself, so I don't have regular working hours. Because of this, it's best to offer some dates and times that work for you when requesting a session. Global sessions take place via phone or video call. Local sessions are in person, at a location to be confirmed upon booking. Once we have agreed on a date and time, you will receive a meeting request to 'accept'. In it you will have confirmation of all the details - how to reach me for the session (location if it's in person) and the agreed fee.
Payment can be made in advance via bank transfer or paypal (you don't have to set up a paypal account to use it).

Ok so this is the place where we have that little chat about "what happens if". If you need to cancel, if I need to cancel. It’s worth having this chat because when we do, we open a place for both of us to listen to ourselves and each other, and to clarify the material aspects of our mutual respect. My assumption is that, if you contact me saying you need to cancel a session, it’s because you have discerned that the best thing for your life is to postpone our work together in favour of something else. If this is not the case, we probably have more work to do!
I am privileged to work with people who are committed to their self-care and to the work that we do together. This means I can enjoy being flexible when it’s possible for me to do so. It also means that I rarely have to make use of this policy.
For my own good practice, here are my expectations: Once we have agreed on a date for your session, the appointment is confirmed. This means I’m planning on preparing for it, delivering it, and getting paid for it. If you have to cancel, I’ll need 2 weeks notice to make the necessary changes with any degree of grace. If you have to cancel an appointment within 2 weeks, I hope we can easily and quickly book another session close to the original date. So if you need to reschedule, please send alternate dates and times with the initial message announcing your request to move your appointment. If we can do this, and it doesn’t happen too often (3 times is usually the limit for me), I am happy to waive any cancellation fee. If you have to cancel within 2 weeks and don’t reschedule, I will ask for half of the base rate* for the session. If you have to cancel within 4 days of the session, I again ask that you send alternate dates with your initial message, so that we can reschedule you as quickly as possible. In this case I will only ask a small fee of £20 for the last minute cancellation and rescheduling, which can be paid at the next session or in advance of it. If you have to cancel within 4 days of your appointment and don’t reschedule, I ask you to pay the base rate* for the period of time that we had booked. If at any time you can’t use a scheduled session, you are welcome to gift it to someone else. In this case I would ask you to share their contact details with me in your initial message, and be sure in advance that they are available for the agreed session time.
If I need to reschedule with you, I will let you know with as much advance notice as possible, and offer alternate appointments. If I cancel within 4 days you will be able to have an extra 15 minutes free in your rescheduled session.
*Base rate is the lowest possible fee for the scheduled amount of time booked. For example, a 90 minute house call might be £105 depending on location, or more depending on aromatherapy ingredients used. The base rate without travel fees for 90 minutes is £90.
