How to Get it Right

•  Decide - like a 4 year old - exactly what you want.
  • You don't need to explain why you want it. If people ask, you can simply reply 'because I do'. It helps to stomp your foot as well. 
• Go back to playing in the mud, climbing trees and generally doing your thing.
  • This will save your energy and get you nimble for the moment when:
• You act. Because you have to. Because something happens. Because the thing you want is right .... there. 
  • ​Still don't need to explain why you want it.
  • Also don't need to explain what the hell you're doing.
• ​Get it. What you want. 
  • ​It isn't what you thought to was. It's what-you-wanted-surprise. 
  • There is a price to pay. Pay it. Happily. That becomes your story. Your legacy. Your wealth. Your family. ​Your future. You.

When they ask you ten years or more later how you achieved what you did, try not to lie. Admit that you even if you had a plan nothing went to plan. Admit that you wanted what you wanted and couldn't always say why. Admit that logic is very useful for many things but not for the arc of a life story. Admit it and give permission to everyone else to be confused and happy, lost and righteous, ambling unfocused ambiguous playful childlike and full complete respected successful citizens of our shared humanity.
